Planned Giving

Would you consider a major or planned gift if we can show you how to give one?

Thank you for your interest and support of the Athenaeum.

Those who share our respect for the past, our desire to preserve the Athenaeum as an historic landmark and those that want the Athenaeum to continue to be a vibrant part of the Indianapolis community may choose to provide for the Athenaeum in their estate plans. By doing so, you will become a member of our legacy group: Friends of das Deutsche Haus.

Include the Athenaeum as a beneficiary of your will or estate plan – or as a beneficiary of a financial, insurance or retirement account and you will receive these benefits:

  • – Personalized certificate of appreciation
  • – Recognition in the Athenaeum Annual Report*
  • – Updates on the Athenaeum Foundation news
  • – Invitations to events
  • – Annual donor receptions

Through your generosity, you will help us preserve and protect the Athenaeum, an Indianapolis historic landmark. Your contributions not only endure that the legacies of the past are not forgotten but provide support so the Athenaeum can continue to be a center for the arts, entertainment and physical fitness.

We sincerely appreciate your thoughtfulness and would like to provide you information about making a significant gift to the Athenaeum, whether a current gift of cash or stock or a planned gift. You may be interested in leaving a legacy with a bequest to the Athenaeum Foundation.

We can help you plan a donation to maximize your charitable contribution and tax benefits – while also leaving a legacy for future generations.
