Story Time

WHERE: Auditorium at the Athenaeum

WHEN: Sunday, September 24th 2:30pm

Young Actors TheatreCoat Check Coffee, and the Athenaeum Foundation welcome you to Story Time, an interactive storytelling experience for kids grade K-3. Original live music from local composer Rob Funkhauser will set the tone as kids enter the auditorium and create a world that is totally new. With the power of crayons, music, and imagination, an auditorium can become a forest.

Here’s how it works:

1. Purchase a ticket to reserve a place for your student(s).

2. Come to the Athenaeum on September 24h. We’re the big German building on Mass Ave.

3. Sign your student in and drop them off in their classroom.

4. Your student will spend the next hour dancing, drawing, and exploring an original fairy tale featuring YAT directors and professional actors. Our first Story Time will be an original version of Little Red Riding Hood!

5. Parents: head to Coat Check Coffee and redeem your ticket for 10% off coffee and tea. The cafe area is an amazing place to chat, work, read, and relax! You’ll love Coat Check. Forbes Magazine sure does.

6. At 3:30, parents will be invited in to watch the wrap-up activities and greet their children for pictures in front of their drawings.

7. Kids and parents leave, revitalized and excited to tackle the rest of their Saturday.

8. You come back next month for the next story!
